Fulltime Airline Transport Pilot – ATPL(A)
The ATPL is the highest level pilot license required to serve as a captain - or pilot in command - on aircraft weighing 5700 kg or with more than 9 passenger seats. In contrast to our normal 'distance learning' or self-study course, this is a full-time in-house classroom residential course. This training is also part of the integrated training for commercial pilots. The theory course is fully provided at our location in Arnhem. Full availability and dedication are required.
This theory training is exactly the course you need if you want – accelerated – fulltime classroom education.

- 17 years old when starting the course

Classroom study
The great advantage of our full-time classroom ATPL(A) day course is that you are prepared for exams at an accelerated pace. The theory course is often seen as a difficult phase but all our students who persevere, complete it on schedule! At the same time, it is also the least expensive part of a fully integrated commercial pilot training course. You will be guided through in a professional manner and with proven quality. Gaining exam knowledge alone is certainly not enough. The ready and applicable basic knowledge that you acquire in the classroom immediately forms the basis for your career as a commercial pilot with an airline.
The classroom teaching program is structured schematically in weeks and daily tasks, whereby with 4 teaching days per week make a lead time of about six months feasible for both modules, excluding exams. For each module, students are guided through a number of courses with main topics, based on the lessons with an instructor and 'computer based training'. These are concluded after a varying number of chapters with mandatory 'progress tests' to check a student's progress.
Self-reliance in a team is a major requirement. Success partly depends on your own effort, motivation, teamwork and perseverance.
