Our MCC course equips you with all the important skills you need to operate as an airline pilot in a multi-crew environment. The course prepares pilots for their future role as commercial or airline pilots and bridges the gap between the completed CPL course with ME-IR and a job in commercial aviation.

Minimum requirements and/or preferences

  • at least a PPL(A)-IR or a CPL(A)-IR
  • you have successfully completed ATPL(A) training with a theory certificate
  • it is recommended that you have a MEIR

Course structure and organization

In principle, the course starts every week on Monday, based on availability. The theoretical training consists of approximately 25 hours, and the practical training (simulator training) consists of 20 lessons in a Boeing 737 simulator. The course duration is approximately 7 days, but this may vary depending on the number of participants. Three-day introduction, theory, mock-up training, and computer-based training. Approximately 5 days of simulator training, two sessions per day, each two hours (4 hours per day in total). Each session starts and ends with a (de)briefing. After successfully completing the training, the student will receive the MCC certificate.

Theoretical training | 25 hours – classroom instruction

The course book covers both theory and practice with a focus on:

  • Crew Coordination Procedures
  • Advanced (Jet) handling skills Interfaces: leadership and authority
  • Personality: attitude and motivation
  • Teambuilding: communication

Practical training | 20 hours – simulator training

20 flight hours, of which each participant alternately flies 10 hours as pilot flying (PF), and 10 hours as pilot monitoring (PM).

In the simulator, the participants are prepared for their role as PF and PNF. The simulator training is recorded (both image and sound); performance and progress can therefore be thoroughly analysed. Qualified instructors, certified as TRI and SFI, provide expert supervision throughout the training. All instructors have many years of experience in aviation education and training.
