De aantekening Instrument Rating (IR) is een absolute must voor elke piloot met een Private Pilot License (PPL) of Commercial Pilot License (CPL) die droomt van vliegen in alle luchtruimclassificaties en bij uitdagende weersomstandigheden. Met deze aantekening ben jij gereed om tot een minimumbeslissingshoogte van 200 voet te vliegen voor de toepasselijke luchtvaartuigcategorie. Alle theorieopleidingen zijn opgebouwd uit een distance-learningfase (thuisstudie in je eigen tempo) en een brush-up sessie van een dagdeel per vak (ochtend of middag), gebaseerd op vraag en antwoord als check op parate basiskennis. Deze dagdelen worden gepland in 5 aaneengesloten werkdagen, zoals hier<\/a> of onderaan deze pagina staat vermeld. Deze sessies, ofwel Brush-up courses, zijn verplicht gesteld door de Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport (ILT). Na afronding van elke module volgen de examens. Deze worden maandelijks afgenomen in ons eigen \u2018in-house\u2019 examencentrum.<\/p>\n

Voor alle Brush-up courses geldt dat deze niet in Arnhem plaatsvinden; deelnemers volgen de sessies vanuit huis via live webinars, waarvoor een computer met webcam en headset vereist is.<\/p>\n

Voorafgaand aan de cursus is een \u2018refresher\u2019-module ingevoegd betreffende basiskennis van wiskunde en natuurkunde, met een verplichte toets en een introductie op Knowledge, Skills & Attitude (KSA).<\/p>\n

Om de theoriecursus overzichtelijk te houden en specifieke onderdelen goed op elkaar aan te laten sluiten is de lesstof, bestaand uit zeven theorievakken, verdeeld over twee modules.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Het grote voordeel van onze \u2018distance-learning\u2019 IR-opleiding is dat je zelf jouw tempo en studietijd indeelt. Het thuisstudiewerkprogramma is schematisch opgebouwd in weken en dagtaken, waarbij met circa vijftien studie-uren per week een doorlooptijd van zo\u2019n zes maanden goed haalbaar is voor beide modules, exclusief examens.<\/p>\n

Een gemiddelde student doorloopt de IR-theorieopleiding in ongeveer vier tot zes maanden. De doorlooptijd is afhankelijk van jouw tijdsinspanning.<\/p>\n

Tijdens de zelfstudie word je via een simpel werkprogramma per module door alle vakken en onderwerpen heen geleid. Door middel van verplichte \u2018progress\u2019-tests wordt de studievoortgang gecontroleerd. De \u2018progress\u2019-tests worden om een vari\u00ebrend aantal hoofdstukken afgenomen en kunnen thuis op de computer worden gemaakt. Vervolgens stuur je de test met \u00e9\u00e9n druk op de knop online door naar Orbit Groundschool voor controle.<\/p>\n
